With a sold out crowd, Greensboro’s Guilford Green Foundation feted six months of marriage equality at its Guilford Green Gala and after party on March 28.
Yet, one recent Saturday night, I enjoyed finding myself dressed in a tuxedo, one minute shaking hands with our mayor, and the next congratulating two ladies on their recent marriage.
Over 400 guests, including Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughn, took part in the silent auction, enjoyed great food and danced the night away. The Proximity Hotel in Greensboro provided a wonderfully enchanted space for this years Gala.
The Guilford Green Foundation’s Gala and Green Party slated for March 28 is almost sold out and organizers are suggesting that those who wish to purchase tickets should do so now. Once all the tickets are gone, a wait list will be established.
